Parent Advisory Council:

A Parent Advisory Council (PAC) comprised of parent volunteers lends the parent perspective to the program. Parent input helps guide staff program decision making and helps maintain quality services for children and families.

The mission of the PAC is to support the Children’s Center staff in meeting its objective of caring for the individual and group needs of the children who participate in the Center's program.  Additionally, the PAC provides a mechanism to facilitate parent involvement in the successful operation of the Children's Center.

PAC activities include:

  • Providing the Children’s Center Director with parent input regarding program and program changes.
  • Sponsoring fund raising activities to enhance the existing program.
  • Helping coordinate volunteer activities to maintain classroom and play yard equipment as needed.
  • Acting as an informal problem resolution board for families as appropriate.
  • Communicating PAC activities with parents and staff.
