Philosophy
Our program is designed and implemented under the philosophy that children learn best in a child-directed, play environment allowing them to develop intellect through hands-on, sensory experiences. The program is designed to meet the individual and group needs of the children through age-appropriate activities promoting fine motor, gross motor, cognitive, language, self-help, social, and emotional development. We stress the importance of open-ended, process-oriented activities that allow children to fully explore and develop their own creativity.
We believe in providing a loving, supportive environment where well-trained, sensitive staff appreciates the uniqueness of each child. The staff strive to help the child feel empowerment over her or his life. We believe that the program should be based on sound Early Childhood Education and Child Development theory and that practices should be developmentally appropriate.
